Individual Membership of Bal Bhavan is open to children between the age group of 5 to 16 years. Membership forms of the Bal Bhavan are available for Rs. 2 and can be collected from the membership section. For 5 year old children the annual membership fee is Rs. 50 and for those above 5 years it is Rs. 100. The membership form is required to be counter signed by the parents/guardians of the applicant (child). Along with the filled membership form, the students are required to submit their two recent passport size photographs. Children of all age groups seeking admission in Bal Bhavan will produce proof of age from the schools. Presence of the child is essential at the time of registration. Verification of the all the furnished details is done at the registration counter itself and a receipt given to the child. Thereafter, an identity card is issued to the applicant (child) containing his/her photograph and other personal details. At the time of admission the applicant can opt for not more than two compulsory activities.

 

For children from orphanages, slums and those being taken care of by any NGOs, National Bal Bhavan Membership is available free of cost. Even the transportation is made available to them free of cost.

 

In case of mentally and physically challenged children, sometimes the age bar too is relaxed. Moreover, Bal Bhavans are designed as per the needs of physically challenged people with ramps available near all staircases.

 

 

School Membership – Even public and government schools can become members of National Bal Bhavan. For public schools the annual membership fee is Rs. 500 and for government schools the annual membership fee is Rs. 250. Under this scheme any number of children can come any number of times to participate in various activities conducted by the Bal Bhavan. However, they must be accompanied by a teacher of their school. If selected in any of the activities, the students can be sponsored to go on trips to any part of the country or even abroad.

 

FOR BUS ROUTES FOR SUMMER MONTHS MAY-JUNE 2009

Transport facility will be provided to boys upto the age of 13 years instead of 12 years.
